FAQ

How many flight schools are in Dallas–Fort Worth?

How much does flight school cost in DFW?

Few DFW schools publish a price. ATP is the exception: $123,995 for its Airline Career Pilot Program from zero time ($100,995 with credit for solo, $90,995 with a private certificate), plus a training-center premium of up to $5,000 at select locations. Thrust Flight, American Flyers, Spartan Flight Academy and Flight College did not publish a tuition amount on the pages we checked (Oct 29, 2026).

What is the fastest flight school program in Dallas?

By each school's own claim: ATP says 9 months from zero time to CFI, Thrust Flight says 'as little as 9 months' (its FAQ puts the average closer to 12), American Flyers' Airline Academy is 10 months, and Flight College says under 12 months. After that, most pilots build to 1,500 hours (or an R-ATP minimum) as flight instructors.

TCU in Fort Worth launched a B.S. in Professional Aviation; its Professional Pilot concentration is anticipated for fall 2027. TCU says it is pursuing initial FAA Part 141 certification and an R-ATP-eligible program.
